VINES COVID-19 POLICIES

Good news! Gardening is not cancelled! Being outside is one of the safest places you can be during COVID-19. Breathing in fresh air, letting the sunshine warm your skin, and getting your hands in the soil are all healthy ways to get through this very trying time.

We are working hard to ensure safe program delivery this season. To that end VINES has implemented the following:

  • All VINES programs have COVID operating policies to reduce risk for our staff and those we serve
  • All staff must wear masks at the Urban Farm, Community Gardens, Farm Share Distributions, whenever interacting with the public or when they cannot be 6 feet apart from others
  • We’re providing hand sanitizer & using gloves at all vegetable distribution sites (Farm Share, Farm Stand & Farmers Market)
  • We’re using protective plexiglass barriers at all vegetable distribution sites (Farm Share, Farm Stand & Farmers Market)
  • All volunteers and staff must go through a COVID Self Assessment before volunteering or arriving at work
  • We are limiting the size of groups at workdays to ensure people can safely distance & volunteers must wear masks
  • All our Green Thumb workshops are now virtual and recordings are available on our Youtube Channel
