Cooking for Beginners Workshop
July 2 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
If you are new to cooking, it can all seem a bit intimidating and overwhelming. Mince? Simmer? Broil? What does it all mean?! But once you have the basics down, cooking is a fun and enjoyable way to eat healthier, and more delicious meals.
That’s where we come in! In this hands-on workshop, we will be going over everything you need to start making your own meals, from reading a recipe, measuring ingredients to substitutions, basic knife skills, stocking a pantry, and plenty more. By preparing two recipes together, everyone will gain first-hand experience in these skills, giving you the confidence you need to get cookin’!
This workshop is free and open to the public. A $5-10 donation is greatly appreciated.
This event will be held at the Lee Barta Community Center, 108 Liberty St., Binghamton @ 6:00pm.
Registration is required as space is limited. Register below or call 607-218-2043.
