Kids-Mini Series: Composting and Compost Critters
July 20 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Led by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County’s Recycling and Composting Educator, this interactive workshop will cover the basics of composting, the important organisms that make it possible, how compost is used, and we will end with a fun, hands-on bug catching activity where we will learn about the critters and creatures that make a compost pile their home! Everyone will leave with a better understanding of what things you should or should not compost, and how to start composting at home.
We will be at the Binghamton Urban Farm, 16 Tudor St., from 10:30 – 11:30 on Saturday, July 20th. Parent attendance is required. Ages 6-12.
This workshop is free and open to the public.
Registration is required as space is limited. Register below or by calling 607-218-2043!
