Come learn how to make simple herbal remedies to keep you and your friends and family healthy using ingredients from your kitchen, farm share, garden, or the grocery store. We will cover basic preparation methods and discuss the medicinal properties of some common foods, herbs, and spices. Participants will get to sample a few remedies and will leave with some recipes to try at home.
This workshop is led by Rebecca Heller-Steinberg. Rebecca has been digging in the dirt, eating weeds, and studying herbs since she was a kid. She studied herbalism and botany at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine in Ithaca and she works for the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York.
Join us at the Mansion Community Center at 85 Walnut St, Binghamton at 6:00PM on Wednesday September 20th.
