Steps to Building a New Community Garden

A community garden typically takes 1-2 years to build, from the time we process and approve a proposal to completion. Neighborhood energy and effort are the strongest factors for successful gardens. The more people that are involved in the development and implementation of the community garden, the easier and smoother the process becomes, and the faster their vision can become a reality.

Submitting a Garden Proposal :

To submit a proposal you must have attended VINES’ Garden Proposal Workshop.

A mandatory portion of the proposal is to complete a budget draft. An example is provided in the Garden Proposal Manual. Please find an editable blank copy above.

Mandatory Garden Proposal Workshop – TBD
This workshop is mandatory and a required step to submitting a VINES Community Garden Proposal.
