VINES Community Garden Proposal
VINES has set a goal to expand our community garden program, with our “20 by 2020” campaign. This goal was set because of continuous community inquiries and support of our existing community gardens. With VINES’ rapid expansion, we have decided to formalize our process with a New Garden Proposal application. VINES wants to be sure garden sites are chosen equitably, while maintaining our core values of improving food accessibility to communities and building community.
If you are interested in joining us for this workshop and learning more about submitting a proposal, please fill out our Garden Proposal Inquiry Form.
Garden Proposal Manual:
VINES has compiled a Garden Proposal Manual which will outline the process for submitting a Community Garden Proposal. Please find our Garden Proposal Manual here.
The Manual includes information on VINES’ Community Garden history, roles of community members, a project timeline and scoring criterion that will be used to review all garden proposals. Reviewing the Community Garden Proposal Manual and looking at existing gardens for inspiration is a great first step towards bringing a community garden to your neighborhood.
Submitting a Garden Proposal :
To submit a proposal you must have attended VINES’ Garden Proposal Workshop. Community Garden Proposals are due March 15 2019, by 4pm.
