Wellness Wagon

After we took a hiatus in March 2020, the Wellness Wagon returned to service in November and is ready to roll!
  • Wellness Wagon is a grocery transportation program that operates in three forms: Limited capacity group rides, personal rides for those with disabilities and/or mobility issues, and fuel cards for those with a vehicle that would like to act as a carpool for those within their social bubble.
  • Personal grocery trip rides are available up to four times per month for those with disabilities and/or mobility issues. In such instances, pickup/drop-off is available at the rider’s place of residence.
  • Group rides are available on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday format at 1pm, 12pm, and 11am respectively. Every group ride makes pickups/drop-offs at the Lee Barta Center in Binghamton, NY (108 Liberty Street). On Mondays and Fridays we provide service to Walmart, while Wednesdays are reserved for Weis Markets.
  • Interested riders are required to contact me and register for a trip at least a day beforehand or they will not be permitted to ride/no trip will be provided.
  • Eligibility for the service is based upon two criteria: Place of residency and access to a personal vehicle. If you are located outside of Northside Binghamton’s Roosevelt catchment area, you do not qualify for the program. Masks are required for every trip we provide.
