Volunteer with VINES

In 2007 VINES was created by a group of dedicated volunteers and continues to thrive with the help of an active volunteer base. We are always seeking a team of motivated long-term volunteers to help with several different projects. If you have a skill or interests not listed in one of our volunteer opportunities, please fill out the volunteer sign-up form and let us know how you would like to help. To stay up to date on when and where volunteer opportunities take place, you can join our email list or email volunteer@vinesgardens.org for more information.

General Volunteer Opportunities

All interested volunteers are asked to please fill out our sign-up form. For information on specific volunteer opportunities, see below!

Farm Share Pick-Up Sites: assisting in the distribution of vegetable boxes at designated pick-up sites and interacting with people picking up their veggie boxes each week. Accept payment, share recipe tips, and track customers. For more information regarding volunteering with farm share please email Nikki at Farmshare@vinesgardens.org

Urban Farm Volunteer: Help build the sustainability and production of VINES’ Urban Farm by harvesting vegetables and fruits as well as weeding, moving soil, watering, composting, and planting as needed. Volunteers are invited to take home extra garden produce.

Community Garden Builds: Join us in constructing new community gardens on vacant lots. Assemble wooden raised beds & fill them with soil and compost as well as develop perennial flower beds to beautify the space. Most builds occur in the fall.

Community Meal Volunteers: Sign up for a meal preparation or serving shift for a VINES-hosted community meal every 5th Tuesday at the United Presbyterian Church in Binghamton.
