Cold Smoking

Do you enjoy smoky BBQ sauce or smoked chilli peppers? In this workshop, VINES’ Jamie Kirby along with Chef Dan of Lost Dog Café will discuss methods of smoking vegetables with a focus on cold smoking techniques you can implement at home using a charcoal grill without having to invest in expensive equipment. They will demonstrate this technique on-site and encourage attendees to bring vegetables and/or fruits to have smoked (tomatoes, peppers, apples, etc.), as well as discuss wood types, charcoals, and how to successfully start a cooking fire without chemical accelerants. Demystify the world of smoked foods at this enjoyable and informative workshop.
This workshop is FREE and open to the public. A suggested donation of $5-$10 is appreciated.
