Squires Ave Community Garden Build-Endicott
RESCHEDULED TO SATURDAY 10/23 FROM 9-1 DUE TO WEATHER Join volunteers from Endicott Proud, Tiger Ventures, and the broader community in building a new community garden at 310 Squires Avenue! We have tasks designed for people of all ages and abilities. Please bring a mask or proof of vaccination with you. Growing Fruits and Berries with Jarmilah Haseler (Cornell Cooperative Extension)
Jarmilah Haseler of Monroe County Cornell Cooperative Extension will lead us through a workshop focused on "The Big Three": Strawberries, Blueberries and Raspberries, with some discussion of apple trees. Jarmilah will lead us through the basics of these simple perennial fruits, including: Best varieties Site selection Recommended planting, spacing, and trellising Pruning Care and maintenance throughout the year This workshop is FREE and open to the public. A suggested donation of $5-$10 is appreciated.
