Learn about natural plaster application on a straw bale building, a green and energy efficient construction method. Architect Laura Lee Intscher, Secret Base Design, will provide an overview of this ancient building finishing technique and guide us in applying the plaster on the building. We’ll be using a clay, sand, lime and straw plaster mix.

Bring your own chair if you are not comfortable standing for a long period of time. If you plan on doing hands-on work, please come dressed appropriately in clothes that can get dirty. Please wear closed toed shoes and bring a bottle for water. We’ll supply gloves if you don’t have your own. Location is 1 Fayette Street. Parking available on Fayette Street, Columbus Park East Street or Susquehanna Street.
