Pawpaw 101 with Dan Davis

Backyard grower Dan Davis is delighted to welcome VINES to his home orchard in the hills of Vestal, where he will discuss his experiences growing pawpaw – North America’s largest (and nearly forgotten) native fruit! The informal workshop will include information about the origins of the trees, sourcing, planting, cultivars, care, troubleshooting, fertilization, pollination and harvesting – with special attention to growing this unique tree in this region and, depending on ripening times, a sample of the fruit.

This workshop is FREE and open to the public.  A suggested donation of $5-$10 is appreciated.
