Farms & Sourcing
All VINES partner farms are within 60 miles of Binghamton, NY.
Yes. Main Street Farms and Wander Creek Farm are Certified Organic.
VINES’ Binghamton Urban Farm follows organic growing practices but is not certified. Due to the high cost of certification, we choose to invest those resources into our programs and community work instead.
Pickup & Distribution
Members can choose from 12 pickup sites across the Greater Binghamton area, including Binghamton, Endicott, Endwell, Johnson City, Vestal, Windsor, and Whitney Point for the 2026 Farm Share season.
See the Farm Share page for the most up-to-date list of locations.
You’ll check in, pick up your share, and make a payment if you haven’t done so online. You can ask questions if needed—staff and volunteers are there to help.
You’ll also receive a Welcome Binder with helpful information, including contact details, tips for using your produce, nutrition information, and recipes.
It’s helpful to bring your own bags, but not required.
Contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate changes.

Shares & Produce
Each week includes a mix of fresh, seasonal produce from local farms. Contents change depending on what’s being harvested.
You may receive:
• A variety of vegetables
• Herbs
• Fruit twice a month if you choose Binghamton Urban Farm (other farms do not guarantee fruit)
We’ll share weekly updates in the newsletter and at pickup.
Because it’s freshly harvested, it often lasts longer than store-bought produce.
Check out our Veggie Guide [add link] for storage tips to help it last even longer.
Most sites offer a swap box where you can exchange items with others.
Leafy greens grow well in our climate. We provide recipes and tips [add link] to help you use them, including smoothies, freezing, and simple meals.
We’ve got you covered! You can:
• Ask staff or volunteers at pickup
• Use our recipes and veggie guides [add link]
• Join seasonal workshops [add link]
Pricing & Payment
For the 2026 season, share prices range from $13–$44.50 per week, depending on size and farm. Discounts [add link] are available for income-eligible members.
Compared to grocery stores, Farm Share offers:
• Lower cost for similar produce
• Fresher food (often harvested within 24 hours)
We accept:
• Cash or check
• Credit/debit card (small processing fee applies)
• EBT/SNAP
Produce Prescription (PRx)
You can pay:
• Online through the Member Portal [add link]
• At your pickup site
• By mailing a check to VINES
You can use the Share Bank to cover the cost and still pick up your share. It can be used up to two times during the season and is meant to help during short-term financial hardship. You are still responsible for paying any remaining balance.
Packaging
Plastic bags help keep produce from drying out and maintain freshness during storage and distribution. Even though the produce is harvested close to distribution time, it is still stored in a cooler, where bags help prevent wilting.
Using bags also allows us to reuse our boxes safely, since we can’t reuse boxes that come into contact with loose produce. The bags can be reused at home, especially for storing leafy greens.
Policies & Changes
Ask a friend or neighbor to pick up for you.
If not, submit a vacation request at least one week in advance in the Member Portal [add link].
Late cancellations still need to be paid for.
