The Nectary

There are so many factors that are affecting our ability to produce food. One large factor is the decline in pollinators due to things like habitat loss, and pesticide use. If we can increase the available food sources for pollinators in our community, we can help ensure that our gardens continue to bear fruit. Building a nectary, or pollinator garden, can increase the overall health of our gardens. By increasing the diversity of pollinators in our area, we are taking steps to improve our sustainability as a gardening community. Using native plants is the best way to attract native species of pollinators that thrive in this area. For additional information on creating your own native nectar nook for our pollinator friends you can sign up for our VINES Green Thumb Workshop on Apr 19, 2023.
