VINES offers educational opportunities throughout the year called Green Thumb Workshops. These learning opportunities are available to everyone in our community for free. We do ask for a $5-$10 donation if you can.
The classes offered cover a wide range of topics. Most classes are geared towards a beginner’s mind. Introductory gardening classes help shed light on the mysteries of growing one’s own food. While our cooking classes can give you some great general knowledge on preparing healthy meals in a new and exciting way!
Each workshop is led by experienced professionals and educators including horticulture and nutrition experts from the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County, Binghamton University Faculty and VINES’ experienced staff.
