Mosquito Protection

Mosquitoes are a major annoyance and health risk, but don’t let them stop you from having fun outdoors this Summer!

To protect yourself and your family from mosquitoes, you may want to consider wearing long sleeved clothes when possible and reducing the area of exposed skin whenever outside. You can also switch your outdoor lighting to yellow ‘bug lights’ that attract less mosquitoes than brighter lights.

When using insect repellents, always read the label and be sure to use them safely

Another option is to plant aromatic herbs that naturally repel mosquitoes. Marigolds, thyme, lavender, citronella, rosemary, and basil are all good natural mosquito repellents
