Herbal Workshop – Fire Cider Making
September 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This workshop will be two hours long. The first hour will be a lecture and question format and the second hour will be making the remedy to take home with you.
The first hour will teach you more about this simple herbal remedy that is used to support the immune system, prevent colds and other illnesses, and help people recover more quickly. We’ll talk about the history of this interesting remedy, as well as the medicinal benefits of some of the ingredients, including garlic, ginger, and cayenne.
In the second hour, we will prepare fire cider together and participants will make themselves a jar of it to take home if desired. Come prepared to chop ingredients and get a little messy!
This workshop is free and open to the public.
This event will be held at the Lee Barta Community Center, 108 Liberty St. @ 6 PM on September 17th.
