Tomatillo

A small, husk-covered fruit grown for its firm green (or purple) berries. Tart and citrusy with a bright, tangy flavor when raw, mellowing when cooked. Commonly used in salsas and sauces. Also known as husk tomato.

How to Use

Remove husks and rinse to remove sticky residue.
Chop and use raw or cooked.
Blend into salsa verde, sauces, or soups.
Roast or grill for a deeper, smoky flavor.

Storage Tips

Best within 1–2 weeks.
Store in the fridge in their husks or a paper bag.
Keep dry and remove husks only when ready to use.
