Swiss Chard

A leafy green grown for its broad leaves and colorful stems. Tender yet sturdy with a mild, slightly earthy flavor. Best in cooler seasons. Also called chard or silverbeet.

How to Use

Rinse and separate leaves and stems.
Braise, grill or shred to add more leafy nutrients to cooked grains or proteins.

Storage Tips

Eat quickly (3-5 days) – very perishable!
Store unwashed in loose plastic bag in the fridge.
To freeze: wash and chop, blanch 2-3 min, cool, dry, and store in freezer bag.
